Group Class Customer Agreement
Terms and Conditions
TERMS & CONDITIONS
On Command Dog Training, LLC hereinafter known as “OCDT” cannot make any guarantee regarding the outcome of any training/counseling program. The owner assumes full responsibility for the dog’s behavior during and after the training/counseling program.
OWNER AGREEMENT
The owner agrees to give adequate exercise and is required to work their dog(s) 7 to 12 times a week on strengthening all cues taught. The reinforcement can be accomplished in approximately 20 to 30 minutes per day per dog.
The owner understands and agrees that they are being trained to train their dog(s) and that without 100% cooperation with the trainer, the dog(s) may not be trained to their fullest potential.
AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR
OCDT does not allow dogs with aggression or major reactivity to be enrolled in group classes. If the owner speaks with an OCDT trainer and it is determined that their dog(s) has a behavior that would not be allowed in a group class, OCDT will be happy to refer the owner to an alternate trainer outside of OCDT who can assist with those behaviors. By agreeing with these terms, the owner acknowledges that their dog(s) is not aggressive. The owner also acknowledges that if OCDT determines that their dog(s) is aggressive while in a group class, OCDT has the right to ask the owner/dog to leave the class immediately with the understanding that following the class, OCDT will determine if a one-on-one class can be done by one of its trainers, or if the owner will need to be referred out.
CANCELLATIONS
The owner of the dog(s) may postpone any of the lessons provided twenty-four-hour notice is given to OCDT. Make-up lessons are available for no additional cost provided they occur no later than six weeks after the last class in their six-week session. The owner understands and agrees that failure to give OCDT twenty-four-hour notice of a lesson cancellation will result in OCDT counting said failure as a completed lesson with the full amount owed by the owner to OCDT for said lesson.
TERMINATION OF TRAINING
The owner of the dog(s) may have the animal withdrawn from training at any time; however, once training has begun, all fees are non-refundable.
MISCELLANEOUS
The owner will be responsible for purchasing all necessary equipment that the trainer recommends for training the dog(s).
In the event either party deems it necessary to employ legal counsel to protect its rights under this agreement, the prevailing party agrees to pay all expenses including but not limited to costs and reasonable attorney’s fees.
This training agreement represents the full and only agreement between the parties. The terms and conditions set forth in this agreement cannot be modified or changed in any way unless agreed to by both parties in writing.
Animal Emergency Clinic shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss, injuries or damage to property, persons or animals during training classes sponsored or held by On Command Dog Training, LLC.
LIABILITY
I, the legal owner of the abovementioned dog(s), having carefully read and fully understand this agreement, do hereby waive and release On Command Dog Training, LLC and the trainer from any and all liability of any nature. This includes any injury, death, sickness or damage my pet may suffer during or after any training program. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless On Command Dog Training, LLC and the trainer from any and all claims due to damage the pet may cause to any property, persons, or family members of any third party during or after training. The owner specifically acknowledges that they recognize the risk of taking a group class with other people and their dogs. This risk is entered into with the owner 100% responsible for their dog’s behavior at all times in the class environment.
