Frequently Asked Questions

What do I need to know before attending a training class?

  • Be on time!

  • Bring a copy of your dog's up-to-date vaccination records (Puppies must receive their first three sets of shots prior to attending a training class).  Please contact your veterinarian to confirm that your puppy can start classes.

  • Always have your dog on leash unless told otherwise. Your dog should be on a flat collar and a 6 foot regular leash.  No retractable leashes will be permitted in class.

  • Dinner time after class - Please skip at least part of your dog's meal before class. It will help immensely in class if your dog is hungry!

  • Small easy-to-chew treats - like hotdogs cut into tiny pieces, cheese, or soft breakable treats.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and shoes.

  • Doggy potty break before class, you may use the grounds surrounding the facility. Please pick up after your pet.

How do I register for a class?

Register for classes online on the "Training Schedule" page. Currently, booking is set to open for a class 13 days before the start date. If there is not a new schedule up, then you must wait to register until the next schedule is released. Please be patient during this transition period.

We accept major credit cards and Paypal-- If you are having trouble with booking or confused about which class to take, click the button below.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may reschedule 24 hours before your class begins to another day or time. Cancellations 24 hours or less before class begins will not be refunded. If you cancel before then, there is a $5 cancellation fee.

What is the schedule for a typical training session?

All typical classes are six weeks long, one day a week, and one hour per session.  Some classes may vary.  Click here for our current training schedule dates.

Is there homework between training classes?

Yes!  The most important thing any owner can do for their canine is by exercising and providing mental stimulization daily.  You will receive weekly homework tasks to complete daily which will help you and your dog maintain the lessons you learn in class.

What if my dog must be spayed/neutered during my 6-week training session?

If your dog is scheduled to be spayed/neutered at any point during your registered training session, we recommend you wait at least one week before returning to training.
