Frequently Asked Questions
What do I need to know before attending a training class?
-
Be on time!
-
Bring a copy of your dog's up-to-date vaccination records (Puppies must receive their first three sets of shots prior to attending a training class). Please contact your veterinarian to confirm that your puppy can start classes.
-
Always have your dog on leash unless told otherwise. Your dog should be on a flat collar and a 6 foot regular leash. No retractable leashes will be permitted in class.
-
For evening classes: Please hold off on feeding your dog dinner until after class. If you can skip at least part or all of your dog's meal, if will help immensely if they come to class hungry!
-
Small easy-to-chew treats - like hotdogs cut into tiny pieces, cheese, or soft breakable treats.
-
Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes; please no open toed shoes.
-
Please give your pup a potty break before class. You may use the grounds surrounding the facility. Please pick up after your pet and dispose of the waste.

Most classes are six weeks long, one day a week, and last one hour per session. Some classes may vary.
06
Is there homework between training classes?
Yes! The most important thing any owner can do for their canine is by exercising and providing mental stimulization daily. You will receive weekly homework tasks to complete daily which will help you and your dog maintain the lessons you learn in class.

What if my dog must be spayed/neutered during my 6-week training session?
If your dog is scheduled to be spayed/neutered at any point during your registered training session, we highly recommend that you schedule between sessions or wait until the next session to sign up.
