Service Description

5 Week Session No class on 4/10/23. **This class will include off-leash training!** Requirements: * Must have completed an Advanced Obedience class. * Dog must be a minimum of 1 year old to be certified. * Typically you can acquire a Therapy Dog certification in one 6-week session. However, depending on each individual situation, you may need to register and complete multiple classes of Therapy Dog training before you can be certified. Includes: - Evaluating the ability of your dog to be a therapy dog - Preparing your dog for becoming a therapy dog - Extensive work on distraction training, manners and obedience such as wheelchairs, walkers, meet and greets, obedience, confidence building, distraction training and much more - Teaches you as the handler how to choose the appropriate places to visit and length of stay * This class will prepare you and your dog to go out and have the best visit you can have while having the confidence to encounter most situations that may come your way. * Leashes must remain on the dog at all times!
